Tikait is behaving like Father Gapon

I think Tikait is only a demagogue, with nothing in his head.

Rakesh Tikait, the farmers’ leader, has said that the agitating farmers (who have been protesting against the 3 farmers laws since September 2020) will demonstrate before Parliament tomorrow, 22nd July in support of their demands.

But how can they even reach near Parliament when they will not even be allowed to cross the Delhi border by the police?

Any attempt to do so will be met by police lathi charge or firing, as happened in Paris in Vendemiarie, 5th October, when the demonstrating mob was dispersed by a ‘whiff of grapeshot’ of Napoleon’s troops.

I think Tikait is only a demagogue, with nothing in his head. He has run out of ideas about how to continue the farmers agitation, which has largely petered out and run out of steam.

He is now playing with fire, and is leading his followers to slaughter, like Father Gapon (who was later revealed to be a police spy) on Bloody Sunday in St Petersburg, Russia, in January, 1905.

One wonders whether he has an eye on a parliamentary seat for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
